AV2009 Warning

AV2009, also known as AV2009.exe, is clearly related to the notorious Antivirus 2009, which is one of the latest counterfeit antispyware that devastates the Internet community.

This is a particular danger because of the similar name to AVG Antivirus which is an excellent product!

AV2009 is a clone of the infamous Antivirus 2008. AV2009 usually come up after you have installed a video codec that come with a Trojan, malware and/or virus. AV2009 normally generates fake and misleading system pop-up error messages so end-users will be tricked into purchasing AV2009.

This really becomes a problem after you have installed the file. If you see pop-ups warning that you have some virus/trojan and that AV2009 will cure it then you may be able to fix this yourself.

1. Don't click anything.
2. SStop any processes with AV2009 or something similar in the title.
3. Rum "msconfig" to see if there are any AV... files due to start up next time the computer starts. Keep AVG though!
   
4. Go to the Program Files folder and delete any folder with AV.... Keep AVG though.
5. Reboot.
6. If this hasn't work, then reboot into safe mode and try again.
7. If it still doesn't work, call me.
